What is Local Discovery Box?
A seasonal box featuring selected products from businesses in a local area. Each season introduces a different state, another community, and a new collection.
What does Local Discovery Box include?
Three products for $49.95 per seasonal box. Our first collection includes Sun & Spruce soap, a Ladles & Linens bamboo dish brush, and a WyndRose set of two sodalite bobby pins.
What does Local Discovery Plus include?
Five products for $74.95 per seasonal box. The first collection includes the original three products plus Buff City Soap Fresh Cotton Laundry Scent Booster and a Two & A Half Sisters Blue Q Blooms Pencil Case.
Where is the first collection from?
Roanoke, Virginia. Future seasons feature different states and local areas.
How often are boxes delivered?
Seasonally, with four collections across a full year. See the current collection page for its shipping window.
What is a Year of Discovery?
Four seasonal boxes beginning with Roanoke, Virginia. Choose three products per delivery or five with Plus.
Will the products change?
Yes. Each new destination brings a different collection. The opening products are not a promise of repeat contents in future boxes.
Is every product locally made?
Some products are handmade by local makers, while others are selected and sold by participating local shops. “Local” refers to the featured businesses, not a guarantee of local manufacturing for every item.
Can I see what’s in the box before ordering?
Our current collection page lists the opening Roanoke products for both box sizes.
Can I choose individual products or request substitutions?
Boxes are fixed collections, and customization is not available.
When will my box ship?
- Season 1: January – March – Ship date: January 1st – Order cutoff: March 20th
- Season 2: April – June – Ship date: April 1st – Order cutoff: June 20th
- Season 3: July – September – Ship date: June 1st – Order cutoff: September 20th
- Season 4: October – December – Ship date: October 1st – Order cutoff: December 20th
Where do you ship, and how much does shipping cost?
Local Discovery Box only ships in the United States. Shipping cost is determined at checkout.
Does my subscription renew automatically?
Yes, your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel.
Can I cancel, pause, or change my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Can I give a box as a gift?
Yes, you can purchase this as a gift.
What if an item arrives damaged or is missing?
